Work in Progress

Some pretty birds in the feeder

For mother's day, we were planning to meet our friends from TX, the Vesces, at Turner Falls for camping and hiking. It flooded. So instead, Justin let me do some gardening. THere was a flat spot of mud outside my kitchen sink window that was a horrible eye sore. So we are turning it into a flower garden. Or a rock garden.... It's not finished by far, but here is some of the progress.

This will be a cobblestone patio. The ground cover will hopefully spread in the cracks and the rhododendron will grow into a large flowering shrub there at the edge. There are also other flowering plants mixed in the patio.

Every time I found a huge rock, I thanked God for providing all these rocks under the surface. They all came from the gound they are resting on. This large one is very flat, or I wouldn't have been able to dig it out. Surprizingly fun, that was, finding a huge rock and digging it out!
